People Helping People Turn Dreams into Reality
Learn More About Us
Every day, we work alongside our members to help turn their dreams into reality. That’s more than a promise – it’s who we’ve been from the very beginning.
In 1951, Redstone’s first 11 members each placed $5 into a shoebox. Those early members on Redstone Arsenal imagined a different kind of financial institution – one built to strengthen lives and communities. Seventy five years later, that vision still guides us. With members around the world and more than $7.5 billion in assets, Redstone has grown into one of the nation’s 25 largest federal credit unions. And yet, joining still starts the same way it did in 1951: with a simple $5 deposit. We’ve grown, but our commitment to our members hasn’t changed. It’s what keeps us grounded in what matters most.

Giving Back to Our Members
Our mission of People Helping People has guided us since the day we opened our doors in 1951. From the beginning, we’ve believed that strong members and strong communities go hand in hand. Redstone was built on creating value and opportunities for its members, always striving to deepen relationships and deliver exceptional value. We continually look for ways to give back to our membership, with resources reinvested to help members keep more of their money while accessing convenient, high-quality financial products and personalized support.
As a member owned credit union, we put people first. That means better rates, personalized service, and financial education designed to meet you where you are. It also means giving back – through donations, volunteer work, and ongoing efforts to be more eco friendly. When you’re a Redstone member, you’re part of a supportive network that’s here to help you plan, grow, and thrive.
That’s why we invest in programs that make a real difference – from financial workshops for kids and adults, to scholarships that help members pursue their goals, to hands on support for local schools, nonprofits, and community initiatives.
Giving Back to Our Communities
Our commitment to our members and communities guides every decision we make. We continue to invest in projects that strengthen financial well-being and support long term community health. For decades, we have stood beside our members, responded to their needs, and invested in the communities we call home. That commitment continues to guide us as we work together for a brighter future.
We’re proud to stand beside organizations across North Alabama and Middle- and Southern Tennessee. Whether it’s sponsorships, scholarships, or community partnerships, we’re committed to supporting the places we live and work. Because when our communities shine, our members shine too – and that’s what Redstone is all about.
