AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program
AARP Foundation Tax-Aid provides free tax preparation assistance. Redstone is partnering with AARP as one of the host sites for this program.
Assistance is available by appointment only at all of the AARP Tax Foundation sites.
To make appointments for the Redstone Atrium location, call 256-886-8071. Callers will be asked to leave a message. Volunteers will return calls primarily on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1pm to 4pm, unless you leave a specific time window for them to call.
Tax preparation sessions at Redstone will be held every Saturday from February 7 through April 11, 2026, from 9am until 2pm at The Atrium at Redstone Federal Credit Union, 220 Wynn Drive, Huntsville, AL.
Even if your taxes are somewhat complicated, the AARP team is IRS-certified, and will make it easy for you. There is no fee or sales pitch for other services, and AARP membership is not required. The service is available to all ages.
