In celebration of its new Smyrna, TN branch, Redstone Federal Credit Union launched its inspiring Acts of Brightness campaign on May 21, 2025.
Redstone team members, wearing their signature bright blue shirts, treated Smyrna locals to free groceries and gas. Rutherford County residents can expect to see more Acts of Brightness over the summer as Redstone continues to deliver free groceries, meals, gas, and more to brighten lives and build community.
One Smyrna resident, Ken, who is a Vietnam veteran living on a fixed income, shared his heartfelt gratitude after receiving free groceries. “We went down there, and we had to decide whether to get groceries or pay a bill, and Redstone was there to help,” he said. “This was the first time anything like this had ever happened to me.”
Joe Newberry, President and CEO of Redstone Federal Credit Union, emphasized the organization’s commitment to the community, “Redstone is so much more than just a great financial institution, it’s also a community partner and is always looking for ways to positively impact that community.”
Acts of Brightness is one of the many activities planned to celebrate the new Smyrna branch. A ribbon-cutting and Family Fun Day is set for June 6, starting at 11am. The day concludes with a VIP grand prize giveaway of Great Tennessee Air Show tickets and parking passes.
Through these events, giveaways and simple acts of kindness, Redstone hopes to further encourage its members and communities to live brighter!
