Redstone responds to threat of coronavirus

Redstone Federal Credit Union is actively monitoring the COVID-19 coronavirus health threat and following guidelines provided by state and federal health organizations.

The health and well-being of our members and employees are of the utmost importance. Currently, Redstone’s branches continue their normal operating hours. Our branches are cleaned nightly; staff regularly sanitize surfaces during the day; hand sanitizer is readily available; and our employees are educated on best practices recommended by the CDC.

In addition, Redstone joins the CDC in encouraging members and employees to always wash hands; cover a cough or sneeze; or stay home when sick.

“We offer our thoughts and prayers for those who have been affected by this virus throughout the nation and world. At this critical time, we must stand strong together as a community,’’ said Joe Newberry, Redstone’s President and CEO.

For our members who will be financially impacted as a result of the COVID-19, Redstone will work with them to find customized solutions, Newberry said.

Understanding that some members are taking precautions and limiting face-to-face interactions, Redstone provides many options for transacting business:

  • Online and mobile banking lets you transfer money and payments, deposit checks and apply for loans;
  • Drive-thru teller stations offer many of the same in-branch services from the comfort of your vehicle;
  • Thousands of surcharge-free ATMs are available;
  • Live chat and call center are accessible as early as 7 a.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. on Saturdays. Contact the call center at 800-234-1234.

Members are encouraged to sanitize their hands after using the ATM or drive-thru teller stations.
